The High Plains Wine and Food Foundation (HPWFF) is a membership-driven non-profit organization that brings together wine and food enthusiasts while actively contributing to the Lubbock community through support and advocacy for the local wine, viticulture, and hospitality industries.
Open to everyone, the foundation fosters a community of wine lovers and foodies, all while actively elevating the profile of local restaurants and Texas wineries. Through its innovative programming, members enjoy a range of events, from the laid-back monthly wine-after-works to the highly sought-after signature annual gatherings like Big Reds BBQ, En Blanc, and the Kitchen Crawl.
HPWFF's philanthropic endeavors extend to benefit local charities including West Texas Hero Homes and the Texas Girls and Boys Ranch amongst others, as well as collegiate scholarships through its partnership with Texas Tech University, ensuring a meaningful impact on the community. In the past two years alone, the foundation has proudly donated over $300,000 to these local charities and community partners.
By promoting the appreciation of wine and food while shining a spotlight on the talents of local establishments, HPWFF stands as a driving force for positive change and growth in Lubbock's vibrant culinary and wine scene. Through its support for local charities and educational opportunities, the foundation remains dedicated to enriching the lives of the community and fostering a thriving wine and food culture in the region.
